Russ... Pull up a comfy chair. Get some coffee and reading glasses. Even if you don't need them now you will by the time you finish. Anyway, do a search on JetJoe.

Yeah, except if those children who don't starve get killed by exploding JetJoes...what THEN?
Do YOU want to have this on YOUR conscience?
Buy a good, solid American-made turbine like a Wren or a Jetcat.

American made ???? Neither of these are American made, which is not to say they arent great products. I have a Wren Supersport with about a dozen flights and its nothing short of awesome.

That new jetjoe two-piece tailcone makes quite a whooshing sound!

Look, son...let me tell you something about these Chinese. All they know how to do is copy American designs cheaply. Same as these Japanese. Please! Pure junk! No good American company would use cheap Communist Chinese components or labor in THEIR products. No WAY! These people are unable to build a straight set of chopsticks, much less a turbine engine.
As for ME, I will stick with good, solid American Craftsmanship, like Skymaster, BVM ARF, and Futaba!

mikmaxx , if you are still with us...this question comes up about once every month. If you had access to a fully equipped machine shop, you could probably build one yourself for about $1000 and a lot of hours. Three companies make kits where you assemble the machined parts. More money, but less skilled labor involved. If you check out the used market on RCmarketplace, you will find the cheapest used unit around $1900 or so...if you find one priced much lower than this, there is probably a real good reason.
