Tom

Not going after Bambi this year. My dad doesn't want to go. He's 85 now and he didn't think trompin' around in the woods in PA sounded like fun. This is the first year he has missed since I was a kid.

Now back to the regular scheduled thread

Jason, with that 1.5 L of fuel, how many minutes flight time do you get? The SS seems interesting for the BCC. Your install looks very nice and clean.

With the 16 oz center tank, BV quotes the fuel as 2.5 liters.....so not using the center tank, you should have 2 liters(66 oz. +/-) left in the mains.......that is what I am carrying in the mains of my Bobcat XL.......

Thanks Jason and Tom. 2 L seems very nice. I hope to see a SS run soon at my field.

Problem with crow on the Bobcat is that the wing is kinda thin where the flap servo goes which limits the size of servo arm you can put on the flap servo and I don't think you get enough flap travel.

I have 8411's on my flaps and have no trouble with servo arms or not having enough throw. I have an Artes Falcon (22#) on mine and it is a perfect combination of speed, power, weight and vertical. Plane weighed in at 21.5 lbs. dry and I couldn't be more happier with it. It wil hit 200 as verified by Eagletree using both pitot and GPS and think this is a perfect match although the P-70 would be great also.

BTW, no brand loyalty here, I have a Falcon, a P-120, and a Merlin. Now I just need a 12-14# class .

Hey guys I have had my composite bobcat now for mm 4 months have just under 100 flights on with a p70 and it is fully loaded with smoke and every thing so its on the heavy side and I will tell you the p70 flys the hell out of it. In fact when I at FIJR 2 weeks ago I ran with a friend with a p 120 on his composite bobcat and the only real diff. was the vertical and how fast he got to top speed but he was not much faster at all. What a great plane.

Hi All

can someone please remind me what the recommended throws are for the ailerons and elevator. I have the flaps and crow, but can’t remember the others and for some weird reason, they aren’t in the manual 🤷‍♂️

regards

Thanks Bob. That didn’t come up when I searched the page, but it’s because it’s an image I think rather than text. Thanks for your help.
