Default Detailing

How do you make scale landing gear as in what do you put on the struts to make it look so real? If its a fyber glass kit wat king of paint would you use? Post pics of you scale landing gear for refference.

you can either manufacture your own, or do what just about everybody else does, pay the big bucks for scale gear, i have seen some scale gear sell for as much as 1800.00 bucks and I am sure there are some that are higher.

Scratch build.
Brass tubing, plastics, fiberglass, aluminum, add detail to a standard gear. Robart sells a plastic oleo strut kit that fits over a standard wire gear to help dress them up. Of course, as was said above, most manufactures sell a scale gear for the jets in question, they're not dead scale, but you can sure dress them up. A quick search will show you some incredible F18 landing gears that have been done up dead scale, but I forgot, you don't like to use the search, that requires effort
