Default Microjet Fans & Engine Break-in

Hello,

My neighbor just purchased and assemebled a Kyosho F-86. After looking at it, I've been (re)inspired to build a far more efficient "microjet". I have a design that I'm currently refining as well as much of the parts to include a Kress RK-09 and a Cox/K&B/RJL Conquest 15 ABC and pipe. My goal is to develop a sub-3lb. microjet.

My questions are:

What prop should I use to simulate DF use of this engine for break-in and testing or should I run the engine in the fan unit?

Has anyone compared the performance of the Kress (RK09) unit with the Kyosho?

If any of you know of any reference sites, please forward them to me.

Thanks in advance for your constructive comments!

Regards,

Marc Spicer
