Gracias. Here's the translation;
The F-84 F was developed and built by Robert Lischius.
The kit was brief at the former company GUEBA in the program.
We acquired the forms together with Urmodell.
The Urmodell of the trunk was again revised, attached details and again casted.
GRP trunk, canopy framework, maintenance cover is white dyed.
The Abachi Styro wing is in manufacturers building method, i.e., ailerons, landing flaps are implemented in fillet, chassis admission and 40mm putting are finished inserted.
The rudder and the trimmable stabilizer are in full GRP.
The pendulum mechanics running in ball bearings for the horizontal tail unit are already built in the trunk.
Etc. are contained of the moreover one in the kit all prefabricated felling trees hurry for nose gear, group of turbine frames, servo admission.
The chassis is likewise contained and had in the kit Scaleraeder with hard tyre, brakes, electronic valves and the necessary accessories.
The kit is to be introduced on the fair Sinsheim 2003.
The kit price is not certain at present.
...It looks to me to be the same one, judging from the picture, it's a little too large for me, as a city dweller...

Thunderstreak
Hi,
I dont think that the plane you are refering to is the large Thunderstreak. I presume you are refering to the PHANTASY IN BLUE planes and which was at the last World Masters. This is the work of Michel Knol, a dutch guy. Here is the web site:
http://home.wanadoo.nl/knolmichel
I dont know of the availability of this plane as a kit. However I think there was a large Thunderstreak (presumably a Michel Knol kit) on sale here on RCuniverse.
The Liebetrau F84 is smaller in size and was originally a JETS UNLIMITED kit.
As you might all agree both of them are a work of art.
Hope this helps.

Hi ET,
No it is NOT the same as the 1:5 scale F-84 made by the Knol brothers (PHantasy in Blue project) and flown at the last jet WM in Thailand.
However, they are both the same scale and of the same aircraft - and so look pretty similar.
I'd rather not make any comments on which kit is better, or which flies better !
You may be interested to know that Shailesh Patel has a kit of the one made by the Knols, and he told me that it's almost ready to do in installation etc , and hopes to fly it soon.
I have plenty of pix of the Knols own 2 F-84's, and there are also several on both our websites (http://www.amtjets.com and http://www.jetteam.nl).

Knol's THUNDERSTREAK
Mike,
Do you know whether the Knol's F84 is currently available as a kit and what turbine are they using to power the plane?
Thanks

Knol's F-84
Hi Reuben,
Yes, the Knol's F-84 has been available for a couple of years, and I think they have sold about 5 or 6 of them. They only make them in their spare time, so I think delivery is not very fast - maybe 5 or 6 weeks at best, but I'm not sure. I often see richard Knol at the weeknds and can ask him details if you want. he also has email, and I can look up his email address if you need it. Please PM if you neeed more details.
Their original F-84 (built for PHantasy in blue) has quite an old Pegasus in it, giving about 12.5 - 13 kgs at best, and it is enough power for scale flying, but really needed a bit more.
Their new one (built for and flown at the last Jet WM) has a pre-production version of of our new Pegasus HP in it, producing around 14.5+ kg, and it was plenty - even in temps and humidity of Thailand. Many people there thought that they had an Olympus in it! I believe that the model weighed about 18.5 Kg wet.
It would be ideally powered by a production Peg HP, which gives a full 16 kg (35Lbs), and I think that is what they're going to put in their new model.
Happy Landings,
Mike C

ET,
the Liebetrau F-84 is built from Robert Lichius' moulds, and to the same scale as the Knols (1:5) so it is, naturally, exactly the same size. However Roberts prototype flies with one of our Olympus in it, and it is overpowered to say the least!
