What info do I need to find out if they are in compliance with the AMA failsafe rules? I see that there are a few for sale here and need to know if they are worth purchasing or if they would be good paper weights? Thanks

as far as I know, they would be in compliance already if the engine shuts down in failsafe mode which you can be programed from your radio.
If you want the 2 second mod, do a search, there are a few that post on here that can help you.

My 750F is in compliance with the 2 second AMA requirement. To make this happen, the ECU needs to be modified by Andy Low at Electrodynamics. He is the designer of the original RAM 750 ECU. Not to be confused with Bob Price, who designed and still services the ECU for the RAM 500 engines.

I have a 750 P which I sent to Bob Price and he updated the ECU to meet the current AMA fail safe requirements.
If you need the info send me a PM and I can dig up the info for you.
Good Luck

I don't believe Andy from Electrodynamics is doing any more work on the ECUs. So if it isn't updated already I'm not sure who else will touch the older ECUs.
Other than that the 750's are good turbines. Thirsty little things though.
