A Cheap Jet?
jd enterprises f-4 phantom cost only $ 150.- and the KB 7.5 and turbax 1 that you need is cheaper than the .90 size enforcer and cheaper to manteining.you can fly it with a 5 or 4 channel radio and fits in a small car

You can do jets on a budget. I have a Reaper with MW54 turbine that the ready to fly price (including all servos, digital hitecs, trim wheels and brakes, etc) was less than $3500 US.
I am also going to build a "byro blaster" jet and just bought a new byron fan, used 80 size DF engine and pipe for $200 US. A Balsa USA Enforcer costs just about $100 for the kit, and maybe another 100 for acessories. Go fixed gear and standard wheels, and you can get flying (including good radio gear) for well under $1000!
Not everything has to say "BVM" on it to be fun, or cost thousands!

A Cheap Jet?
ajcoholic,
This is exactly what I am building. A byroblaster enforcer with fixed gear, normal cheap wheels and an OS .91 vrdf. The pipe is that new short byron pipe from I think magnum which is very light and works great. I am not glassing it to keep it light and a way you go you have a sweet flying cheap jet that will fly awesome anytime of the day and will land like a trainer due to light wing loading.
Can't wait to fly it.
