Default Interesting....

Not to stir the proverbial pot but.... Has anyone else noticed how relaxed it has been here lately without a certain members input? Kinda nice having a place to discuss again, did they take Jerry Springer off the air?

Not looking to start anything, just found it somewhat interesting how much influence one individual had over this forum.

Variety is the spice of life.. I don´t mind hear another completely different point of view (in fact, I found it very amusing most times)

You mean like that thread that was just closed because Shillmaster Jets and their minions could not stop slagging off on the competition?

Seems like business as usual in the RCU jets forum, even without ET. Sorry!

Bye for now!

The person you are talking about happens to be a good friend and I do not think he is the cause of the problems we are having here.

From a moderator point of view, my main headaches are from two manufacturers and their shills. Unfortunately, they are my good friends also.

Regards

Ben

This is just a ploy by Todd to entice ET back to liven things up a bit!! I agree with Enrique...variety is the spice of life - long may ET roam this forum!

I know some of you guys have a real problem with ET, but I've found him to be intelligent, opinionated with a superior sense of humor.

It is likely that the mother-ship returned from his home planet of Zargon for a bi-yearly (there years, not ours) report. As soon as they turn off the cloaking device, they will be able to transport him back to our planet's surface to resume posting here on R/C U. (I don't think they can maintain a reliable high bandwidth connection at super-luminal velocities!)

ET,

PHONE HOME

ET has a rare ability to wind people up, mainly in a very intelligent and amusing way. Now if you miss the point of his wind up, you would be offended. The diffiuclty is that sometimes he also is being serious, and those punches are targeted to hurt, else why punch?

We're all different, heaven knows I have had my scrapes, but what make this forum just so good for me is that it is varied. Leap on one thread, information experience help guidance and assistance. Leap on another and it is purgatory.

As stated before I have ended up conversing with many people who I know whose company I would seek out and enjoy. I can make a real point and have a laugh on the way, get help, learn things and more roundly enjoy my hobby.

And I get to josh with brilliant minds such as ET, whose actions are the equivalent of a non Floridian weatherman. It makes everyone think and notice is taken, even if you choose to ignore what is said!!!!

Todd, you know your right, one person can have much influence!!!

Wouldn't it be funny if it was not ET you were referring too!!!!!![X(]

Dont get me wrong, I too think ET is intelligent, opinionated with a superior sense of humor. While I dont always agree with him, I'm impressed with how he thinks outside the box.

My intention here was not a poke at ET!!! It just stood out like a sore thumb how mellow (trust me ET, I'm with you on the "Shillmaster" comment, getting old on my end too []) it has been around here lately. Amusing (to me anyway) how much one person can influence this forum.

If you really want to see how much one person can influence this forum, look no further than the one guy who complains to the mod's more than any other.

BTW, I think ET's greatest contribution to the forum is that he frequently says what others are thinking but are afraid to say themselves (for fear of the groupies attacking).

Boy, you hit the nail on the head. I just am not afraid to say what others are thinking but afraid to post for fear of being ganged up on.
My own lack of participation here lately has nothing to do with anything in particular, just busy with other things, and a little bored with the proceedings here as of late.

That's a real back-handed apology. I think the intent of your post was VERY clear to all, at least stand by your words, or apologize like a man. Sorry to sound nasty, but your original post was just that, nasty, and I'd like to think you are a better man than this, and a chintzy attempt at thrust reversal/backpedalling does not cut it.
