Default Protecting Balsa from heat...

Other than the BVM ceramic coating, are there other alternatives to protecting a Balsa fuse from radiant heat around the exhaust cone? Would lithoplate, or aluminum tape work? (It is an external turbine)

Aluminum tape works for me !!
