Default BVM F86 sabre bypass question..

Im looking at the plans, and it shows it only being held in place by the two tiny screws on the bottom, is this it??

This is the new model, if anyone else has one I would like to get some specific pics if possible of how a couple things are done.

Thanks.

Default F-86 BYPASS

by-pass is supported by these two screws into wood blocks attached to by-pass mount per plans.also frt of by-pass is supported by intake duct. This is sufficient to support turbine.

Default Bypass

Hi John,

I know how you feel. I was the same way but over the years, I never had any problems with this set up. On my F-86 (older one), just to be on the safe side, I put a couple of dabs of PFM where the Bypass meets the intake duct.

When everything is installed, you should not have any front to back or side to side play. Everything works great.

Hope this helps.

Adil

Great, thanks very much. I just wanted to be sure! Should have this thing built in a week or two.

BV's bypasses are extremely rigid and can take the load. My Super Bandit has the same type of mounting system and it is rated for up to a 28 LB turbine.

Sounds good, I just wanted to be sure, since by hand I can flex it. Once the turbine is installed Im sure it stiffens up.

Thanks

Default bypass BV's new sabre

John,

I didnt like the # 2 shsms holding the bypass either so here is what i did, i drilled 4 40 holes through the bypass and the blocks of wood then aeropoxed 4 40 nuts to the inside of the bypass like you do for the tail pipe, this way i could put the 4 40 bolts in from the bottom through the wheel wells ~JOHN BANNER~

Cool, thanks! I actually had a serious clearance issue with my wheels, do you have a P80 in yours?
