RE: Ram 500 - How much fuel?
At full power you will need 70 oz for 10 minutes. Most guys use a dubro 50 oz tank in the Reaction 54's with a uat and get ten minutes as you are not at wot for the entire flight.

How much fuel are you guys carrying to get a 10 minute flight? I just got my Baby Boomerang and need to know how much fuel I'll need for a 10 minute flight.

RE: Ram 500 - How much fuel?
For my FACET1200, I have 40+16+14 +4 oz in a UAT. I fly a confident 9 minutes with usually 20 oz or so reserve on taxi-back. So my RAM500 consumes about 6 oz/min of typical flight.

RE: Ram 500 - How much fuel?
The Ram 500 is a pretty thirsty engine. A lot depends on how you fly and how much reserve you are comfortable with. I measured approximately 8 oz/min. at WOT on my test stand. My Enforcer has a 64 oz. tank. I typically fly it at 1/2 throttle most of the time, with 3-4 high speed runs per flight. My flight time is about 7.5 min. and I have 10 -12 oz. left when I land. So 6 oz. per minute of flight time is in the ballpark (your mileage may vary).
My recommendation for a full 10 minutes of flight would be about 78 oz. capacity. You might be able to get away with a bit less if you use a start up tank or reduce the reserve slightly.
6 oz. Start up and taxi out
60 oz. 10 minute flight
12 oz. 2 minute reserve (enough for 2 go-arounds)
78 oz. Total
