Hi Darryl,

I get to and clean up my shop often, but it never lasts. I have two bench's and one table. But they all get into a mess very quickly. The reason I asked the question is because I have a friend who is a retired 747 captain. He flew for Flying Tigers then Fedex. He is just the same as you, very well organised. When he comes over to Australia, he just shakes his head at my messy shop.

Anyway it good to see how everyone enjoys this great hobby. I was getting a bit stale till I flew my first turbine. Now I can't get enough flying.

Regards

Key West,

I actually order my Proxxon Tools online from either Germany (where they are manufactured), or sometimes from the UK. I then use FEDEX to deliver them to my door.

They are great tools to have. Try to stay away from the 12V stuff, that is not such good quality.

Here in Dubai there is only a limited range of Proxxon.

Cheers

Hi Staale,

The 10X on the right is the Heli version. I decided on the second 10X a couple of years ago when I had 7 jets and 7 other types. I figured that I would put the jets onto one and the other aircraft onto the other.

Actually the complete 10X package here in Dubai only costs AED 4,800 ($1,300 USD).

Cheers.

Darryl,

What a great shop... I kinda figured your shop would look like that after seening the equipment installation in your L-39 in Hungary

Now get that Hawk on the table and start messing up the place.

I am going to Home Depot today to buy my shop interior parts. My new house is only 75% furnished by now, but, one has to get his priorities right[&:]

When are you moving into the new place?

Its not a very good pic but its one i took a while ago and found on the PC.

This is the first shed roof and there is a second shed around the corner.

There are about 40 + models and i need to thin the crop however that never seems to work. I keep seeming to accumulate them.

Cleaned up and set up for the new BobKitty, my first turbine. Give me a couple of days and the shop will look like a bomb went off.

After seeing yours, there is absolutely no doubt to realize the plans I have to get moore space..

My workshop is just 1,3 x 3 meters... [:-]

I must store my jets elsewhere, so the space is really the limiter for me..

I plan to dig out the garage, wich will give me 38 m2 underneath the existing floor. Costs me NOK 200 000, but would be all worth it.
My wife agrees totally too!
But that won`t be before this summer, so just think about building a AW Hawk in my too small workshop...
Probably the smallest on earth for this use.. Showing it as it is..

Gudmund,

I am not sure how you will do it!!!!!

Perhaps you and your wife can sleep in the workshop and you can build the Hawk in the bedroom?

Here is my home in the evenings.
This is the most crowded it has ever been, and I wish I had more storage space for complete models.

Hi Guys,

Here's a tour of my shop . I use the whole basement as a a shop and storage . I'm most proud of my new 4'x8' table . I built it to be level and very flat . A lot of shimming and measuring to ensure an accurate surface . It's been great kicking off the building season with this new addition . I like my shop but wish I had a painting area and as hard as I try to keep it clean , dust migrates through the house .

Marc

I envy you Americans! You guys start a house with the basement, like a giant in-ground swimming pool and build on top - right? In Australia most new houses are built from brick on a concrete slab, the old ones on short brick piers just long enough to get the timber floor level. I'm lucky, my house has the garages under with a bit of spare room for storage & a workshop. Most of us have that great Australian tradition - the shed. My workshop is in a state of confusion at the moment, new bench for a lathe so it's been turned upside down! - John.

Hi Tom, I do electrical work at a couple of Sydney clubs & it was part of a promotion. My daughter saw one at the bottle shop & 'had to have one'. Managed to get him when the promotion ended, he spent 12 months in her room & then down to where all the other junk goes! - John.

Here's a couple pics of my new shop. It's a mess right now as I'm still moving things around and we just started assembling the new paint booth last night 35' x 43' with a 14' x 24' paint booth
I'll take another picture when it's cleaned up :P Now I just need the time to finish the bandit!!!
