Guys,
I am about to buy a new larger trailer-a 14 foot V-nose is what I have set my mind on.I really want a black trailer this time around. For those of you whom have black trailers or have friends who have them,is there anything to really be concerned with-EX: heat, etc.I would imagine that since 3/4 ply is used inside the trailers that heat, etc. shouldnt be an issue. It will have a vent as well
thanks in advance,Steve

Black looks good but they definitely get a lot hotter than white. We measured the surface temperature using a laser gun this summer. The suface temp on a black car was 52 degree hotter than the white car parked next to it. This was on a 95 degree day. Not only is it hotter for the jets stored inside, but you will also feel a huge difference when loading/unloading.
Have you considered a silver trailer. looks good also.

when my son and i raced go karts, we had both black and white trailers. the black trailer got much hotter inside. so much hotter that it effected the fuel we had in the trailer, the plastic fuel cans contaminated the alcohol that was stored in them. with the white trailer, we never had that problem

Well I have heard all I need too ,I'm gonna stay away from a black trailer !!
.Altho very cool looking ,it wont outweigh the negatives.I think I will lean towards John C's suggestion now however and look at a silver(stainless look) trailer.I have seen a couple of those around and they do look sweet too!I just want something different, white is just too normal/common I think....yawn[sm=bananahead.gif]
thanks guy for the great input & Merry Xmas,Steve
