If it is the same as the Amt Netherlands one you charge it using 12 volts......I had to leave mine on for more than 15 hours for it to be fully charged...

Mick is absolutely correct. just use the cables supplied and plug into your 12volt battery. leave it on overnight and walk away. I charged mine once and used it for nearly 2 years of off and on use. I would leave the country for 6 months at a time and didn't worry about charging when I returned. Maybe I got a super dooper battery pack with mine, not sure but no kidding I didn't charge mine once after the initial charge. I would surmise that with regular use you will have to charge periodically but I haven't experienced that yet.
