Guy's,

I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy, safe and prosperous New Year. I hope this does not sound psycophantic (I hope that's how you spell it!!) but here goes!

To all here who have conversed with me over the year, thank you for your interests, help, guidance, humour and friendship. Much crap has come my way this year preventing me from getting close to flying jets, but being on this forum has helped prepare me even more for when it does happen. Some of that crap, being in London on the 7th July, my neighbour dying in my arms, has helped me appreciate how lucky I am. Hearing of Tam's situation and seeing all the genuine goodwill and friendship certainly sets this hobby apart from others. Hope things are still improving Tam by the way.

We have seen some great stories, the WJM, some great banter, some bitterness and passioned debate, but most of all, there is a worldwide community here, interested in helping out the others. Doc Yates, recovering now has never met or conversed with me anywhere else but here, sent me a pair of wings after I screwed up. Kerry Sterner sent me some cores after I screwed up and I bought the kit 2nd hand, but only because they cared enough to help out. John Christensen was even offering to help me get a lens for my wifes camera so she can photograph my crashes[:@] John Agnew was even offering to help build my models so frustrated was he with my progress!!!!

Well guys, that is truly unique these days with everyone out for themselves and putting themselves first, something WE ought to be proud of. Even though there is competition and business, whihc cna set the mood occasinally, this is an engratiating hobby where everyone wants to be part of a success.

So from my little life on this planet to you all here on RCU, have yourselves a 2006 of a blast, kick the tyres, light the fires, and god bless to you all, and if anyone is around in Orlando early April, let me know, I can by some beer!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Gazzer
