The PST 1300 is just a big PST 600 with all of its attributes and that means excellence in all areas. My two PST 600s continue to give superb service and my 1300 will, no doubt, do just the same in a Skymaster Hawk. The latest TEMS has a number of valuable ugrades too, and the PST engines look as good as they perform.

In addition, the PSTs are made by people who fly a lot, know exactly what they are doing and have a fullsize aviation "culture" and give excellent customer service, no BS here !

Unreservedly and highly recommended.

Regards,

David Gladwin.

I am new in turbine, I decided to go with a PST 1300 / Comp. ARF Eurosport for my first turbine jet after chatting with the PST North American rep.-Kelly William in Vancouver, Canada. Kelly is a Engineer by profession, very knowledgeable iwith gas turbine models, he has been flying turbine since yr. 2000 & love shop talk..
My PST was obtained in July/2005 from Helijet R-C International , bench tested in Aug./2005 (It spool up at the first start & ran super smooth), The combination of PST 1300 with the 'New' Comp.ARF Eurosport was a perfect marriage. The Eurosport was assemblied without any problems at a record time of one month of spare time.(with the help of Kelly). The 27lb Eurosport was successfully maiden-ed in Oct./2005.
The PST ran perfectly throughout the 6 min. flight with plenty of reserve power on take off & cruised at 1/2 throttle. The fuel consumpsion of the 1300 seemed pretty good, less than half of the fuel was used on the whole flight.
I can hardly wait for the warm weather to come around so I can burn more fuel on the PST in the 2006 flying season.

I bought all three of my PST's (two 600r's and one 1300r) from Dean at http://www.helijet.ca/ who imports them from Thailand.
I have had Carlos at RTI service my 600's and had the factory upgrade my first 600 to the 600r.

Frank Tiano at http://www.franktiano.com/ also sells them also.
I have had good support over the last three years so that is why I have stayed with PST.

I am not aware that FTE is no longer selling the PST line. They are still advertised on his web site and have the current prices listed. I do know that he no longer has his FTE turbine line advertised on his site, so it may be he is just getting out of selling turbines entirely.

Being from the West coast I have always dealt with Dean and Kelly. When Kelly was doing the initial work up on the J600 manual, I had a chance to see the J600 first hand before it came on the market. I was impressed by the detail and workmanship. Then Dean became the sole importer for the North American continent and I have done business with him for the last three years. Both Dean and Kelly are extremely knowledgeable, quick to reply when you have questions and willing to work with you if you do have a problem.

I now have three PST engines and have been impressed with their reliability, ease of starting and fuel economy. When I sucked some FOD through my first engine and sent it to Carlos, mine was the first PST he had an opportunity to work on. He called me and said he was also impressed with the construction of the engine.

Give Dean a call and get the straight skinny since he is the original importer. I always hate hearsay when it comes to what someone else has said about someone else. Dean will have the info.

Regards
Roy

Hi John

We have been importing the PST line for several years now and have taken a team approach to sales and service. Currently, I do all direct sales in the U.S. and Canada. We try to keep a good supply of engines ready to ship both within the U.S. ( through our rep Chris Reiter in Washington State ) and here in Canada. Chris is very knowledgeable on the PST line and is very experienced in aviation in general ( he is a mechanic on the KC tankers at Fairchild AFB ). Kelly Williams is our local engineer / electornics guru and has a full stock of parts for both Canadian and U.S. customers.

Helijet R/C has been selling turbines since 1997 and we have a vast customer base. We have to date sold in excess of 100 PST engines within the North American market. Our website will be changing shortly with further emphasis on the entire PST product line.

Happy New Year
Dean Wichmann

I know he does service for PST, AMT, FTE/RAM and JetCat. Don't know about Simjet. You can contact Carlos through his web site at http://www.rtiturbines.com/.
