Tom---I assume you have one of these engines. Let us know how it performs----Idle to full throttle time and vice versa, is the thrust as advertised, engine ECU ease of use, etc, etc.......I'm contemplating purchasing one of these engines. Anyone else with experience with this engine chime in too.

Way to go Tom. You will be happy with the PST J1300R.

I just finished the PST J1300R install on Sat in my Boomerang XL and am looking forward to getting it flying. Unfortunately it has been raining straight for 22 days and will probably go another ten days as forcast. I will probably get it started later this week and run it to check the fuel consumption and run up times. The install was as straight forward as my two 600R's. I expect the same with the 1300R.

PM me if you have questions.

Roy

The record is 32 straight days so if it gets to that point, I may just consider starting an ark. We are already starting to get earth/mud slides in the area, one of which shut down the AmTrak over the weekend. I plan on staying around until the Pacific NW Model show in Puyallup on the 4th of Feb, but if it is still raining, I am heading South to get the maiden on the Boomerang XL.

Hey Guys,

My only air time on the 1300R was from maidening a customer's Comp-Arf Euro sport and it seemed like a decent combo. I'm a PST service rep so I'm not going to post any more of an opinion on this engine though. My Hotspot's currently getting reconfigured for one this season; just trying to decide: smoke or no smoke now.... I can try to dig up a reference list of customers that have flown the 1300R if anyone wishes for some direct feedback. If anyone here has anything in the way of a technical question about the motor's operation or construction, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Hey Wayne and Roy, I think Vancouver got a head start on that rain. I bet Wayne's old place in Richmond has been washed in to Georgia Strait by now! If I can make it, I hope to see you and Chuck in Puyallup Roy. I need some engine and airframe cannon fodder for combat, all under $20... I also just snagged an E-flight Blade CP heli on Boxing day, so its time to pick up some Li-Po hardware.

Later.
Kelly

Go SMOKE - SMOKE - SMOKE!!!!

I installed my AV8R smoke system in the Big Boomer. I have 2 liters installed next to my 3 liter fuel tank and probably could have doubled that. The Big Boomer has a lot of space. You might have to get creative on your HotSpot to find space for smoke oil. Oh !! I have an old smoke boat for sale. (Just kidding)

Don't know if you can keep your combat hardware below $20 but we can talk at the Puyallup show.

the 1300 should push the Phoenix along quite nicely, should be able to compete with what my Stingray would put out!
