Trying to finish my Bandit....................and I'm stuck in my ways!
I figured this would be a good place to find some old K+B Superpoxy -I know alot of us (older) jet guys have used this in the past and may have some sitting around and drying up.
I'm looking for primer, primer catalist, red , white and gloss catalist.
An 8oz can of each would be enough to finish the jet.
Please let me know what you've got and what you'd like for it.
Thanks,
Jake Bruckler

Jake,
Here's a clue:
K&B Superpoxy was made by Deft. As I recall, it was called "Defthane" and available in one gallon kits in all of the colors.
I used to have some of the white in the gallon size, and it used a slightly different mixing ratio (4 paint to 1 catalyst) than the smaller cans we bought at the hobby shop. It used the same thinner.
Check with Deft to see if it is still available.
HobbyPoxy was made by the Petit Paint Co., and was available at boat shops. It may still be available.

I know of a hobby shop that still had some on the shelves when I was there last summer..don't remember exactly what stock there was though....no web site and it is a part time fair weather operation, though might be good as a last resort if you are desparate...

Like Mike said use KlassKote! I mixed it with K&B Superpoxy and it is a perfect blend both physically and chemically. The KlassKote is actually an easier paint to use other than the induction waiting period. It flows out better and resists runs and sags better than the K&B did. How they accomplished this I do not know, but it WORKS GREAT!

Hi Jake,
As mentioned, you can use and mix the KlassKote paints as they are the same. I would advise against mixing colors though as the tint may be slightly off if your plane has already been partially painted. Primer, catalysts, etc. are fine but I'd make sure of the colors expecially the bright ones. I have a bunch of the K&B at home so I'll check tonight.
FYI though, Frank Tiano has a LARGE stock of the K&B items and would not be a bad idea to call FTE. I have in the past and found everything I needed.
Hope this helps.
