I agree on the link reference from "F9F Texan", I used this method a lot in the past, both with ducted fan as also with my homebuilt turbine models and it works surprisingly accurate! Just the rope around the gear legs to the fish scale (or something equivalent.) and while running at full bore you can pull and push the models tail gently for a nice and average readout. I also would like to invite some guys, who are saying that their turbine ducting set-up improves static thrust a lot, to do this!! They might end-up crying....
