Guys,
Anyone got a suitable 3 view drawing of the Hotspot? I'd like to design a colour scheme for the one I recently bought as it is a bit bland and needs a little tlc anyway!!!
The two pictures show the fuz closer and assembled with the chequered wings. I quite like the wings and don't want the aggro of recovering anyway so will need to blend something in. Suggestions....?
Help appreciated!!

Enriques,
Given my record that is good advice, but the airframe needs some work. Firstly internally, yuk, poor layout, the wrong formers used for the tank, and some bits glued here and there. Not up to standard (even mine so that's saying something!!)[:@]
No rudders and having read up on the Hotspot will beef the fins up and mount and add rudders. Anyone care to reccomend the thinnest JRT servo, I know the Volz ones are good, but I like to stick with one make for my own peace of mind!!!
And finally the finish is primer, and its got a bit grubby here and there, so would like to rub down, spray up and go. Probably about a days work if I am unlucky!! for the finish and a couple of evenings work for the internals!
My mate Treadstone sold me some excellent value retracts, to replace the incumbent plastic framed ones (early Eurokit I think), so these need replacing too.
So not too much to do, but enough to to properly, after all, this is a Jet right!!!!?
How were those crumpet by the way?

Ts,
Your incorrigible but correct about crumpet
Fuz is Glass fibre, formers give it the internal strength. Its grey underneath!!! A few grass stains here and there, the story on this one was that it was built by an ace flyer, sold to the new guy but it has never flown as the grass field was too short, and the owner purchased a Boomerang instead.
Nothing against the guy I bought it from, it was a bargain and he was very pleasant, but I think he was keen to get it in the air and proceeded with too much haste to get the innards in!
Built your 2nd MW54 yet TS? I just remember how long the first one took ya!

Well.. something went wrong with the first crumpets try, so we switched back to the scones (we hope
to be more successful next time) lol... about the HS, you don´t need to use thin servos on rudder. you can side mount them in the fuse and use standard torque ones (IMHO they look a lot better this way) just remember that if you are going to place the pushrods on the top side of the fuse, you will need to place the nose gear steering servo looking down, if you want to use only one channel on this three servos.
About the paint and repairs, you are right to do it properly, but try to not spend too much time on
a perfect finish.. try to spend most of your time on the instalation details and flying enjoyment.
Best Regards, Enrique

Here it is the pic of the servo.. fortunately I don´t have a pic of the first crumpet try! lol
on this particular Hotspot, the rudders are extra long and the pushrod needs a support, but it is
not the case in the standard HS... (used this same method in the titan powered one)
