...All I need now is a 40lb plus test stand, maybe TS could fabricate one of his hardwood specials for me.

..John .... Would a single Mahogany plinth suffice...I'm out of the smaller Rosewood ones... and the gold in black nameplates have been superseded by sterling silver....

How about some really good 'rumors'-like what Wren might consider doing next?

How about a Wren wish list?

#1 A slightly larger kit build MW?48, about 11 lbs thrust, incorporating the lessons of the 44 Gold and Supersport.

#2 Many must also wish for a larger kit build turbine, breaking price barriers, of about 25-27 lbs thrust with prebalanced rotating parts.

Additions?

I'd love to see Wren do an helicopter interstage turbine and gear box based on the MW44.
Also a BIG turbine kit, say 25 - 35 lbs.

Or indeed a turbofan, or perhaps an axial (or did I mean radial, I get confused, you know the longer thinner type!!!) , no doubt if anyone can Wren can!!

But in practical terms yes a kit for the larger model say a thrust of around 27.5lbs would be a fantastic product, and again if a kit, just what the Doctor ordered! One would think with the advances they have made with the smaller stuff, their knowledge of the combustion process, would make a very efficient larger engine, whilst size and weight would be relative, I would hedge bets about fuel efficiency, which means for the larger model flier more air time.

Well, I guess as per normal, we'll hear if anything is going on when the time is right and a product is just round the corner, gopod to hypothesize though, call it active market feedback!

All though I said I wouldn't fletch sorry here it comes.

Jason is a good bloke and NOT a free loader me and him always banter and jibes at each other but is ONLY meant as fun just for the record. Maybe it doesn't come across like that to SOME but thats it.

Love you jason. (what will be said about that one mmmmm)

All the best

Ant.

Ant,

your right Jason is a top bloke and very modest but has helped me most considerably, a bloke who really gets enjoyment out of the hobby.

Its nice to see some banter between everyone as its the comradeship and goings on that make the hobby more enjoyable, Treadstone and myself often bicker publically but all is in good humour, where some other bickerings don't appear such.

Squeeze you all!!!

The raid the night before showed some testing being done on a commercial airliner using WREN engines. What will they do next?

That's all very interesting, these toy turbine engines and such, but back to the subject at hand...

But its OK he now has the sheds flame proof and double glazed.....

I bet you can't get the big one in the picture as a home assembly kit... good job else Jetpack man would have himself strapped to it

You don't know Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson?

Anyway, the rumor I heard was that Wren was updating all their engines to Whitworth threads and Lucas electronics. The new Lucas full autostart ECU promises to be a real dilly!
