It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden death of Norman Mackenzie.
Norman was well known in the UK Jet scene. He had been involved with the Gas Turbine Builders Association since the early days, and was a regular at GTBA meetings and fly-ins. He was also the UK Behotec rep and had given support and friendship to many people.
Tom Wilkinson, editor of RCJI, was a close friend of Norman's. He will deal with any customer queries about Behotecs in the UK until they have appointed a new representative. Please contact Tom via an email to Wren, which will be passed on to him.

Sara, I am sat here reading this posting finding it difficult to take in. Extremely sad news, my condolences go out to his wife and family.
Norman was a real gentleman and his contribution to our world of turbines will be greatly missed.
Deepest respect, Rob.

I've known Norman for a few years and spoke to him often and always found him very helpful - I was only speaking to him yesterday about a couple of things about my engine.
I'm gob smacked - very much puts things into prespective.
What a bloke what a loss.

Hi, Sara,
It is quite sad that we lost one of model jet lover, even though I have not met with him. As a guy sharing same favorites with him, I wish to pass my condolences to his family.

I'm really liked Mack and this is really sad news for me to take in. He wasn't just a rep but one of those founding fathers that took time to assist and help others where there was no financial incentive or expectation. He brought the very best to Behotec users and I know he will be much missed by the Norwich jet guys.
