So, I've been attempting to get into jets for a while and with some success but when I saw the price Skymaster was flying there F-18's out for I had to have one. So ya, even though I don't think I have the thumbs for it, I bought one. I mean, I had to. There was this nagging, gut churning feeling that wouldn't leave me, and now, its on its way.
So, since It will be a bit before I can fly it (I plan on getting the F-86 first for some entry level turbine experiance) I would like to know what poeple are putting in these things for electronics and etc. It would be great if somebody or a number of poeple could tell me what servo's they have used, which air system, brakes, turbine etc, etc, etc. I'll build it over time and just tinker with putting stuff in. It should be a really great learning experiance since I'm in no hurry to fly the thing.
Thanks in advance.
Dale
PS. If there are a few threads that I didn't find because of my extreme excitement please point me in the correct direction.

Congratulations Dale !!!
If you can make it up to Bonnyville, you will get lots of answers and see how everyone has different solutions to similar challenges...
Servos..
JR 8411 or 8611's...
Hitec 5925, 5945, or even 945's if you don't want to go digital
Digital thin wing servos for rudders JR 168 or Hitec 5125
You won't have any trouble using up at least 10 channels..
A lot of guys around here are using Trim wheels and brakes (Great Northern models). Intairco look good, but I have never seen or used them (Altecare )
Did you get an F-86 yet?

Hey Nony. Whats happanen in Bonnyville and when?
Ya see, here's the thing. I plan on getting the Skymaster F-86 when it comes out in a month or so. It was just that the price of the F-18 was too good for me to let it go. I still want some more DF experiance before I get into the turbine scene.

July 8th and 9th at the muni.. Sounds like folks are coming from far and wide ( well, between Seattle and Winnipeg) to atttend this event. It should be a good one.
My son flew down to RD last week and got some pics of the Airspray Sabre...that is a neat colour!

Sounds like a great event. I'll plan for it.
That Sabre is really yellow, lol. Its neat though, I've seen it come in a number of times, I live in Springbrook, so I'm about 1/4 mile from the runway.
