Default Why not throttle curve in ECU?

Tomorrow I will try, for the first time, a throttle curve in my transmitter to get a more linear response in thrust.

However I was wondering, why the manufacturers do not adjust their ECU so that once the radio is trained, the ECU will adjust itself to get a linear thrust response. Since the manufacturer know how its turbine characteristics, the ECU will seem the best place to perform the adjustment.

?

Thanks,
Edgar

There's a thread here somewhere where someone used negative expo to make the throttle more linear. - John.

I guess because it is better to have a wider and less sensitive thrust curve at less than 50% stick, where you need to "fine tune" the thrust setting for landing approach.

Anyway it is quick and easy to set a throttle curve on any Tx...

if you have a good responsive turbine there is no need for this is there?

I think some turbine will flame out if your stick percentage is too close the turbine spool up time.

I added 20% to the throttle curb at the mid point and the radio adjusted the throttle curb for the rest of it, top and bottom. I think that 20% to 25% to the mid point is a good start, so far I like it, I'm getting a nicer respond as I get closer to the mid point.
