Hi I just wanted to put some photos up of the great day Jeremy and I had running out turbines today.
The p-80 is Jeremy first turbine and today was his first start.
Way to go!
Wish you all could have been there.
Johnny
P.S.
Tell Gran thanks for the great home cooking!

Hi
John
“Cute little turbine, I need one!”
You will love it.
“Jetcat ran good didn't it”
Yes the Jetcat P-80 and the JDE-54 both ran superb!
“What kind of fire extinguisher you got there?”
We had many friends stop by Saturday but only one asked.
What can the little extinguisher do that the big C02 could not do?
I replied its not for the turbine its F.Y.A. (for your _ _ _ ) he laughed
In my years of turbine operation I have never had a fire but have witness and heard of many.
Murphy’s law what can go wrong will go wrong. If by some freak accident a turbine case burst at 22-30 psi
I would like to have a little extinguisher F.M.A.

Hey Johnny!
Thanks for the help yesterday. I had a great time. We'll have to get together more often. Thanks for the pics also.
Grandma said "come back any time". She gets a kick out of seeing this stuff run too.
Later Bud!

Hi john
Yes we have CO2 for the turbines with the pin pulled and the CO2 extinguisher in the helper hands.
But I always have a pocket dry powder extinguisher for the person starting the turbine.
They are instructed not to spray the turbine with the pocket extinguisher, as it will contaminate the turbine.
However in a worst case scenario if the person starting the turbine became doused with burning fuel that first few seconds could make a big difference in the outcome.
The helper will be concentrating on the turbine and by the time the helper sees the other person is in trouble the damage will be much worse.
This is not a rule nor have I ever seen it suggested
Call me apprehensive it is just the way I do it.
Yes the MW44 would be great but I understand the smaller 44mm may not be for everyone as reliability is not up to par with the 54 & 66mm yet.
I will wait a couple of years to see how they work out.
You have a top cat, how do you like it?
A friend bought mine and I am about to buy it back. ( he went the way of the 40%)
Thanks for the reply
