Default Plumbing questions

A couple of plumbing questions for you.

1) Apart from Tygon and Festo tubing what else is ok? Is the stuff for aquariums ok (PVC tubing i think)?

2) When connecting 3mm festo to tygon is it acceptable to have the 3mm festo stuffed into 4mm festo which is then stuffed into the tygon?

Why can't everything be the same size

Thanks
Simon

I would think that any PVC tubing is ok to use but if you are unsure soak some in jetA for a few days. Your second question is a bit unclear but I always try and avoid using festo conectors in before the pump as they can leak and suck air in, wheres they rarely leak in the preasure side because the pipe is being expanded rather than the opposite. I assume you have a wren as you are talking about 3mm tubing?, if so then get some 3mm to 4mm festo reducers as these should help.

The PVC clear tubing is fine. Its just that after exposure to Jet A and oil and UV rays (I think its the UV & the oil reacting), the stuff looses it's pliability and gets kind of rigid. I only use it on my ground tank and change it every year.

Yep, it's a Wren.

I'll get some 3mm to 4mm Festo connectors and use the PVC tube for filling the tanks.

Thanks for the help.
