I have watched Bill fly since he was about 10 years old- he was a great pilot then and has gotten nothing but better!!!. Amazing presence and composure- " the right R/C stuff" so to speak.
I saw Joe McBride do almost exactly the same thing at El Toro once-It might have even been the same side wing that came off. Scott

Yeah - but I bet that Smokin' Joe could have done a touch-and-go instead of just the one landing tha Bill did !!

That's GREAT!!!!!!!

For the last few days my 14 year old has been intentionally knocking the wing off of the velox on my aerofly sim by hitting the shack next to the runway and flying around.... He thinks it hilarious.... What a coincidence!!!!

Great flying. The biggest difference I see between Bill and Joe McB is that this video, and post so far, is void of the "BURY IT NOW" Police.
Interesting proportions on that video. There are standard 4x3 and 16x9...I'm not sure what that was. Gawd I love Putfile

I love how he put it on the numbers in the knife edge landing. Great work!

Select "wide screen" for the proper proportions.

Now he knows why he put up with all that whining when he was practicing high alpha knife edge in the circuit.

Kudos to the video camera man as well.

Amen to that!!!! Where are all of the "Grave Diggers" that are usually hovering around, drooling, waiting to pounce, and screaming "BURY IT NOW" when you expect them---Perhaps they are now residing at home in back in the Foamie Forum.....

That was some of the BEST flying and cool thinking under pressure that I have seen to date!!! WOW!!!! When ya got it---Ya got it!!!

Kevin
