Is some out there building a Skyburner from MAN plans? If so do you have photos? Witch Fan and engine combo is the best? I also want to install retracts. Any info would be great.

Used an OS91 with a Ramtec fan. I used an exhaust duct and exhaust tube from a Yellow F16 in mine. Used Rhom retracts. Weighed 10 punds dry. Flew great off of 400' pavement.

I have 185 flights on mine. It's retired for now. I've flown it with the OS61/OS65/OS91 Dynamax combos on it. Both with and w/o retracts. Actually I feel the OS65 flys it the best. It actually came out nose heavy, so after a while I eliminated the weight and added a canard. Fixed worked best. The weak point early on was the nose/fuse. junction which was beefed up. Also put the elev. control pushrod above the stab. on top.

Hey Mpilot,
I will try this again, my last post became electrons(?)
I built the Skyburner from the plans and used an OS65 with a Turbax III fan. No retracts. It flies like a trainer - lots of sound but cruises along gently. It takes about 400' of paved runway. I recently lost my throttle linkage and found out if glides ok in a hurry.
