1st DF plane?
Hi, does anybody have any suggestions for a 1st Ducted fan plane that uses a 5" fan. It seems to me most kits are of scale planes with tremendous wing loadings. I prefer an ARF if possible. Ive been flying prop planes for 2 years and would like to try some scale aircraft in the future, but would like to get some stick time on a more forgiving air craft first.
Thanks
Mitch

you can always scratch build one yourself-it is not that hard to do-and it does not have to cost $6000 either........have you ever scratch built any planes ?

1st DF plane?
I have not scratch built any planes, but have built a few kits. I saw a profile DF a few weeks ago and it looked pretty simple. Know of any plans that would be suitable?

Me Too
Hi Mitch,
I have 6+ years flying but am always learning(every time out!!)
I just received a partially built F4 Ducted Fan made from Ziroli plans.
I also have the plans.(may not be complete)
The plans are now available at Kress Jets in Ney York. 845-336-8149
I will be calling them for more info. This may not be a good first
ducted fan. The F4 used to be my alarm clock when I was in the Air Force.
Maybe that's why I would like to finish building it and hopefully get it into the air!
I have not scratch-built a plane either.
This info may not help you out but may give you another resource.
**Anyone out there familiar with the Ziroli F4: ~35" wingspan??**
Good Luck!
Mike

1st DF plane?
How about a Jet hangar hobbies BAE hawk ARF? It uses a 5" fan and a 46 size motor. This is a good flying plane!
