I'll be down first thing Saturday morning, staying over til Sunday.

Where are we gonna eat this time though, now that Duk Duk's encounter with Habib has probably gotten us banned from IHOP ?

No 100% firm commitment yet, but he's hoping to be there. If nothing else, I may need his smelly bod for the maiden flight on my Hunter.

I've got it...you fly down with in a Skyvan and pick up me and my planes. That way I can make it a one day trip and you can have some planes to fly.

I'm probably not gonna make it. Too much travel for work (last week and next week) so I'm gonna stay close to home.

LOL - I'm just glad you didn't use the fire extinguisher on that inviting target.

Pity Doug's flying shots are out of focus - we're gonna have to put you back on the buddy box for the camera. Still, you did better than I did for the first flight, where I took a camera out to the flightline only to find out that the batteries were still in my van. Thanks a lot for the gear falisafe unit Doug !

Here's a couple of pics. There are a few more in the Hunter thread, at http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=4704833

Great looking Hunter Gordon! Always liked the Hunter and, believe it or not, the Lightning. I like odd English planes There was a Hunter parked across the runway from my shop at Van Nuys Airport but it recently bit the big one. I miss not seeing it anymore.

Thanks Bob ! BTW, I appreciate the help from the Jetcat guys in sorting out an odd start problem I was having when I first took my trusty old P120 out of storage and dropped it in the Hunter. What can I say .. there are some manufacturers that always just seem to be unavailable when you need them the most, but not your guys - they do you proud.

As for the EE Lightning, it's always struck me as an aircraft that looks fantastic from some angles, but not from others. It is also much more impressive up-close and in person than photo's ever suggest. Sigh ... if only my name was Mike Beachyhead

P.S. The Hunter is a BRITISH aircraft, not an English one ! Never forget that when talking with a Scotsman !!!

Buck - hope to see you in Fresno too. I may just do a one-day hit-and-run visit, depending on how well I am on schedule with preparations for my in-laws arriving just days after the event, but even that will be worth it to meet up with some of you guys that I haven't seen for ages. Say 'hi' to Liz & the kids for me.

Gordon,

Great job on the Hunter. That thing looked like a full scale on final.

Well done!

WOW a clean maiden on that plane after all of that time and effort, it must be very gratifying, I am sure.

Congrats Gordon!
