That looks like the one skymaster use to sell I had the first one that entered the US and if any one needs help let me know there were a few mods needed to keep the plane reliable.
you need to look at the former on the vertical tail section it needs to be renforced if they are using light ply or 3MM ply, the whole tail may flutter out of control you can ask Todd about that... lol what and experiance.
Also not sure what wheel brakes they are using but the ones I got with the first kit did not brake very good. They Had 4 little pistons that pushed on a pair of break shoes, and they seemed to hang up on its own shue horn.
Another thing is too much flap and the nose will pitch down so caution with flaps.
But in all this is a great fly plane very smoth and very predictible, flys like its on rails.
Mine had a jetcat P70 and it flew very scale but could use a larger turbine for better verticle..

RE: Anyone building the Fei Bao Hawk?
David,
I don't think is the same airplane. It look almost the same to old Hawk.
But I saw this Hawk start from the plug to finish. I was there many trips an able to see the process of making it. If I did not see the making this Hawk from start. I thinks is a same Hawk just like everyone else did. It very similar in size and design. We all knew nothing is a secret about that in china factory. If you look all the lastest kits coming from china. It all have similar design.
Since Fei Bao work on few of my projects. They learning a lot things and better way to built model.
Now the glass work is excellent and they using same good epoxy as my products. The fin are using lock clamp type reciever just like my kit. The elevators are independed and both support by double ball bearing just like my.
The Hawk had a lot of rivet and raise up panel detail.
As for under carriage. Tamjets version Hawk using our new nose retract and main. The wheels and brake are Tamjets. Next week we put this Hawk to the testing. Once the test is completed. If there is any problem we find. We will have Fei Bao improve to our request.
Let you know next week how the test go.

RE: Anyone building the Fei Bao Hawk?
Tam I thought you were selling the Jet legend T45 which is smaller, This is all so confusing. Fei bao looks just like mine are you sure they did not add rivits to the plug and a few mods to it too to give it a slight diffrents. Well in all its going to perform the same, with a P70 its marginal on anything biggger it will come alive. There was nothing wrong with robart 630 retracts and the glass work was pretty good too on my SM Hawk. Here are a few pictures of mine... may she rest in peace....
Oh the lock clamp reciever will be nice as long as it's bult on a stong former.

RE: Anyone building the Fei Bao Hawk?
This is a Fei Bao Hawk.. Very nice details, but the wings seems quite heavy. The fuselage is very nice and is not heavy at all.
I got the FB gear wich seems to be really good. There are very strong springs in the mains. Complete airframe is 6,8 kilos.
