Anyone else picked up on this new ARF from AD? At £690 in the UK it looks like good value for money as it is about £150 less than the Phoenix!

It looks a lot like the full size Javelin jet.... IMO it is a very nice looking airplane. Thx John for posting it.

Seen one at Jetpower in Germany last month. I thought it looked very stylish. May get one myself.
Definately looks better than Kangaroo's or Hotspots.

I think this is the link you are after.

http://www.leavesleyaviation.com/

I think the Scorpion looks great, but then I suppose I am biased, having a AD Phoenix!!

Its just a different theme, from the twin boom or Delta Sport Jet, I must admit, I am keen to find out what it flies like??

Thats it, my Fibreclassics Extra 2.6m with Da100 is up for Sale.

Gotta get one of those Scorpions.

Will go great with a P80, and Ali selling P80,s for £1350, it makes a relatively cheap Jet!!

I had forgotten about the Javelin, you are right! It looks very similiar and also makes a nice change from the Bandit / Viperjet with the twin vertical stabs.I think it is a good looking jet and would look good in a lot of colour schemes even military, how about Jolly Rogers with black / yellow vertical stabs? Maybe we can get them in primer?

?? Don't mean me do you ??.

Nice plane the starjet would like another as mine hit a hill that rudely jumped out in front of it while I was innocently flying around at about 150mph.

So one vertical stab isn't good enough yea lets put another on - one plus it creates more drag to help slow it down more on landing LOL. OOOHHHHH no think of the effects in a cross wind double the fin double the fun hey. Another excuse for the cross wind brigade not to fly.

I don't think I'll be cancelling "my super b*nd*t this my super b*nd*t that" on order in any hurry.

But as said beauty, eye , beholder as my mommy used to say to me boo hoo boo hoo

I think you will find that the double vertical stab arrangement is too allow the turbine to be placed near the tail and have an access hatch between the vertical stabs. This adds to simplicity of operation and does away with a long thrust tube, it should also provide plenty of room for tanks and radio gear in front of the turbine.

Twin vertical stabs do not seem to have an adverse effect on the F15,F18,Mig29, SU27 etc. maybe your advanced aerodynamic knowledge will allow you to advise us why this is a bad idea?

Best regards

John

MMMMM thats funny all those plane are effected more by cross winds I know from experience and correct me if I'm wrong they are scale planes with two engines a F15 or any other would look rather stupid with one fin removed to allow better cross wind operation. The scorpion is a sports jet "No" the perfect sports jet "IN MY OPINION" should have wing, a fus a tail plane and a fin "simple and sleek" this is proved by the fact the fastest and best sports jets are the bandit, firebird flash, lightening etc etc etc forgetting boom jobies for a minute.

Most single engined planes have ONE fin "must be a reason for this" maybe someone can tell us why ?? you seem to have an opinion on most things can you help. Hang on a minute doesn't the scorpion have one engine mmm interesting.

Maybe they had some old cloth they had to get rid of in a hurry "I know lets put another fin on our new sports jet that will get rid of it quick sharpish" Maybe BV will be releasing a new sports model with twin fins if its that good an idea I'm only guessing here.

But great all I said it ain't my cup of tea but others will love it fair play and enjoy the model.
