Hi,
Just to let you know the new L39 from Skymaster had its maiden!
I have never flown an Airworld L39 so i can not compare. But now i know why so many pilots have an L39! The Skymaster L39 is a good trainer like jet! It's in between the 2 sizes of the Airworld L39's. It flew very realistic and scale like with P-80, but for those who like unlimited vertical's, a P-120 will do!
The L39 utilizes the new technology. The dry flying weight is 10.5Kg! This is the 1st production model and no landing lights or doors were supplied.
I will post some pictures as soon as i can get it from my camcoder!
Regards
Morne

I will post the video soon. It is still in 8mm format. I have a WJM qaulifier comming up and are very busy with final preperations! Be patient.
It is difficult to describe the difference between "old" and "new" arf-plus. The best will be to see and feel the difference!
1. Imported epoxy are used. so it cure to a strong glass finish.
2. Gelcoat and not white primer is used
3. Hinging is kevlar installed in mould
4. Surface details are better and more visible because of gelcoat
5. All up weight is down
6. Carbon spars are used
7. Bearings on elevator mechanism for F4,F16 1/6,Hawk,F15,F18
8. Retracts made in Taiwan to compete with best qaulity in world.
9. Oleos are oil damped for smooth landings
10. Tyres are inflatable and very light.
11. Dual disck brakes for smooth stop and not sudden stops.
12. Better instruction manual
13. Price increase was very little
Just some of changes!

My Feedback: (102)
I picked up and inspected a set of the new Skymaster gear and wheels this past weekend at Superman, and I must say that they are really a cut above the older version. The wheels are substanstially lighter and are now inflatable allowing you to adjust the amount of air you want in the tires. The retract mechanisms are really smooth and well finished, with strong appearing trunions blocks and linkages. As Morne said these are defintely a higher quality product, at least the ones that Eric was displaying at Superman.

Hi,
Yes in 8mm format. I still have had no time to edit. I do not want to promise but give me a week to sort out some work after holidays.

What about valve durability? I've been using DuBro airfilled tires (3 3/4") and have had severe issues with air leaking and even a valve flying out when hitting the tarmac.....we are now having them filled with ultralight memory foam.

Is the P-80 is enough powerful for this jet? I have seen the video and I feel that with the P-80 the L-39 is little slow.(excuse for my english i'm french modelist and I'm not fluent in english..lol)
Could you show the retrct system in the wing and the trapp system?
