Wow! That's an old one.

A LONG time ago Zone 5 was created by Dan Gill. He was bought out by Scotty Bolduc to create Crow Aviation (CAI), and the Vortex formed the design foundation for about three different sport jets. Dan then went to work for Bolduc.

Eventually Bolduc gave up on CAI and closed the doors, what, about 3 years ago now? So the Vortex is ancient history.

Maybe you can find one by posting want-ads on RCU and RCGroups.

I had a Vortex! I'll post some pictures later, can't find them on my home hard drive. But I know I have them at work. I really loved that plane. If you turbinize one, please post photos and movies!

Yeah Buck, it was pretty fast with an OS .91. This wings and very clean. Dan was (is) a fiberglass artist!

She would be fast! I think the Wren 44 gold with 10lb thrust would be perfect for this one!

That looks like the 56" sport wing in those pics right? They also made the speed wing which was 47".... that is the one I want!

To tell you the truth, I am not sure that I remember which wing I had. I fly off of grass, so I'm pretty sure I went for the sport wing. 90% sure.
