Default Scottish Winter Jets

Well summer is definitely over here, we were lucky to have 12oC and variable winds of 6-12mph straight down the runway at
Leuchars last Saturday, but, as you can see everyone is well wrapped up!

A good turnout with a couple of new models, Lindsay Dickie's beautifully painted Super Reaper had it's maiden flight, drama free and the first time I have seen a Reaper landed on the first attempt, they certainly like to float on by!

Steve Rickett had both His Tutor and Jet Provost, Tutor grounded with range problems, Jet provost flew really well.

John. Is that Ron Fraser in the first photo? Is he still flying jets?
I was spotter for him many years ago at Fife airport when he flew a Hawk at the Scottish model competition.

Regards

Jim

Well spotted, Ron is still flying jets, hope I am still flying at his age! He is working on a Tornado at the moment, he is a prolific and excellent builder, I don't think he knows what an ARF is !

John

Couple more flying shots, Andy's F15 and Jet Provost

John. He must be well into his 80's?
There's hope for me yet!

Regards

I think Ron is 82. He must be the elder statesman of UK jet flyers.
