fly the powerbox with one battery...good idea?????

Default fly the powerbox with one battery...good idea?????

hello again

my jets need diet cose waith is 13 kilos dry...

...each of my flite is 9 minutes....i have on my powerbox profesional 2 packs nimh 2400 each

i am thinking to remove one..

on the jet i have 4 jettronik valves 2 servos for elevons 2 for rudders and one for stering




.......would this be a good idea to fly with one battery or i risk somethink??....asuming battery is on perfect contition every time

If you need to do that, I would suggest you get ridoff the box and just use 1 regulator and directly connect the leads to the receiver. I would also suggest you think of different places where you need to skin the cat!

It will work fine with only one battery, that's the whole idea of the power box...one battery fails and the other one takes over and saves the day. When you start off with only one battery...and it then dies...well...I think you see where this is going. Will it work? Sure will...quite well in fact. Is it a wise idea to operate like that every day? I would think not.

A 2400 pack weighs 4 ounces or so...which is nothing. Fly it with two and don't give it another thought, because 4 ounces in the grand scheme of things ain't gonna make a bit of difference in how the jets flies, unless you were using it for C of G...then you could not remove it anyway.
