Default Turboprops

Who has a Wren or Jetcat turboprop, and if so, how do you like it?

Im sure the jetcat people people will shoot me down but Wren is the way to go. Totally reliable and just runs on and on.

I am entering my 3rd year flying the Wren Turbo Prop. Not a single issue. I have a pair of the 44's ordered for my 27% Cessna 425 (build thread in Giant Scale).

Very powerful, smooth, easy to operate and it will turn a 26 X 12 at 6400 rpm(set at 160,000rpm)
I have over 135 flights logged using these motors......And they stay together...

cheers,

Thanks all for the information,

I really want a turboprop and I probably will go with Wren. I would love to put it into the BVM Edge 540. Very sweet looking plane. Looks like they have it pretty much drop in for a turboprop (Jetcat or Wren). Just wondering about the Jetcat SPT5 though. What's wrong with that? Every Jetcat turbine I have had runs amazingly well. Very good support and they are reliable.

Thanks

Andrew

That is a very nice Pilatus Porter. Sounds like you really like the Wren turbo. Hope to get a Wren soon.
