Jet Legend making L39
Jet Legend are in the process of producing a 1/5 scale L39. Length 95" Wingspan 68".
The expected retail price is $1700.
If this comes with the usual paint, fuel tanks & pipe, it sounds great value for money.

It might be prudent to consider that a lot of jet pilots have not considered an L-39 because of cost issues. Bring a popular airplane into the realm of some smaller budgets, and it might be a real winner.

Well made point! The curent big L39's are hugely expensive, the JL version represents good value for money and if it is up to the usual JL quality will be a good airframe.

Not all are expensive, on one side you have the Savex, which is very small and for a Wren 44 and you also have the Skymaster L-39 for a 17-27lbs thrust engine and at 1/5 scale, the Airworld is a lot more expensive, but very nice model also at 1/5 scale. They also have a 1/7 scale which is cheaper.
In think with all these pretty much the complete price range is covered.
It would be nice to get a cheaper Mig or Flanker.[8D]

Very exciting but like said, why another 39 and exactly the size anton designed? Mysterious huh! lol!
How about a L-159 same size as the AW but go-fly price $1500 delivered? Everything included.

Not exactly the same size. The Jet Legend L39 is stated to be 95" long. The Skymaster is 86".
Both wing spans are the same.
Yes I agree, the release of a model that hasn't been beat to death would be breath of fresh air.

There are so many jets out there that they can build for us. Don't know why they all like to build the same planes and compete. They compete, we as consumers win. I guess they are only interested in competing with each others, rather than creating their own niches and everyboby win.
I prefer BVM's approaches on uniqueness, though they are pricey but manage to do well despite the competitions from China factory. I have all their planes, BVM, SM, JL, JHH. I like BVM's engineering, SM's choices of populart jets, JL's mechanical components, JHH's easy to fly small planes. Hope they all do well.
L39? I will fly that on my Real Flight G3 for now.

Everybody is following the money and popularity trends... It's much easier (cheaper) and less risky than introducing a new offering that may or may not be a success in the marketplace.

Les,
Actually, I disagree... Which is more of a risk, producing a plane that is already available in a small market limiting your sales volume even further or producing a unique airframe that would draw equal interest from the entire market? Key is to read the market and react accordingly...
