I have also been looking at this model, and I think it looks pretty good. The wings are a little on the large size, but I was thinking of opening up the wing tanks, and pushing them further onto the wing for more scale apearance...

Hi Scott
a couple of pics of my Big F 104 in flight these Jet welt kits are a great flyer i have a Graupner Booster 160 in mine and a Weatronic rec And twin Duralites weights 16.5 Kg dry carrys 4.5 l Thats a gallon of A1 Flys for approx 8 1/2 mins. Full cockpit and i could be shiping it over for Florida International jets just waiting to see what my gameplan is for next year. I will have a Graupner Booster 160 flying over the Christmas hoilday in Florida as i,m bring one over to show to one of my jet budies.

A trio of pics Install in Big F104 Showing Weatronics and one of Anita with my Rafale and Eurofighter all have Graupner Boosters 160 in them. I have had no lack of power from them and i am very pleased with the weatronic system also 10 flights on it in the Starfighter so far.

SJN has pointed out most of the scale flaws (apart from the anhedral), but i'm sure its a nice little flyer :-). The Avonds is also a piece of beauty....

Nope, it's a custom project from Heiko Höft and Wolfgang Weber. They each built one....they are absolutely scale down to the airfoil (razor-sharp and ultrathin!) and the canopy-opening mechanism. They do have molds as far as i know....not sure if they're willing to spare some parts.

The nice thing about a larger F-104 on the market
is that if you can "see" it to fly It... you are more likely to buy it and then fly it.
(Yes I need glasses)
Thanks for the pictures guys

Go for it Joe!!!
The one flown on the video looked like it "floated"
Downsizing the wing a little to scale it out would not look hard,
and its alot more plane for the $$$.
kit review when you get it....
