Default JR 10X mix question

I'm trying to duplicate the functionality of my JR 9303 to a new 10X transmitter, for my Eurosport. Getting the mix right for operating an on/off airbrake has me confused. I'm using Aux4 for the airbrake channel, but want to use the left slide lever or the back-right mix switch to operate the airbrake. I've tried an AUX4 -> AUX4 mix and then select the switch I want to use, but no joy so far. The easy option is to enable the Aux4 rotary knob but I really want either a switch or lever to operate it.

I'm sure you 10x-ers will be able to help!

Cheers, Andy

Andy

You can do it the way you are trying, but remember for same channel mix you have to set an offset.

Another way...

Inhibit the Flap slider (Code 17). Take note that this may affect your flap channel.

Make a Aux1 to Aux4 mix and set the mix to orig and leave it always on.

That should do the trick.

Joe,

Excellent! Many Thanks! You have no idea how much head-scratching I'd been going thro', and to be honest I doubt if I'd have made my own way to the solution. I did the second idea of using the flap-to-AUX4 mix and inhibited the flap lever (but it still works for the mix!). The 10X programming is certainly different than the (newer) 9303 which seems more intuitive by comparison. I just needed that extra channel and right now I'm buddy-boxing to get my waiver and the few 10X-ers who have used my (heli) 9303 have commented........I now need to read the book on what ORIG does to the mix so I know in future.

Anyway Joe, thanks again for your help

Andy
