Hey Stig
Are you not fed up with Rafale's yet? I am just waiting for the shipping costs to be worked out, and then I will post here kit and combo prices.
A common misunderstanding is that the model in the pictures will be available as shown..... Sorry but this is a custom build version, which although available will have to be built to order ( Time consuming and not cheap ) The models when delivered will be either in base white Gel coat ARTF or sport colour ARTF.

To be honest, no. I'm always looking for someting to build or own. You know I hate an empty shelf i my garage, which is why I spend (and will continue to spend) most of my money in your store.

Doesn't look like the sport ARF have LE slats...[]
The Custom built one looks like one million Chinese Yuans, though[8D]

It sure is a lot of focus on a one single plane that has been custom built with all the bells and whistles rather that the sport ARF that is actually going to be offered.
An other thing is that a new company no one has heared of, has a ready developed, great looking Rafale ready to ship, while normally you hear of new planes (and companies) years before you actually can get one.

Btw. Check out the terms and conditions in the ''how to order'' page on the Canadian dealers home page, http://www.rcvalley.com/catalog/ordering.php

I wonder if it actually is larger than the AD Rafale, or if it's just creative meassuring. One will just have to wait and see...

AD Rafale: L: 89'' W: 63''
WJM Rafale: L: 95,5'' W: 62"

The AD is 6 inches shorter, but has 1 inch more wingspan...
Lenght of the Eurosport is stated to be 240 cm, while sometimes it's stated as 225 cm. That's almost the difference you get if you messure the fuse with or without the fin.

Hi Voy.
The wing slats and the opening canopy are all options that can be added to order. They are not features built into the standard sports ARTF's but can be either built in by the factory ( There will be a delay as this has to be custom done by WJM workers)
Sorry but I have not seen any listings for the separate accessories. Maybe and an email to Raymond at WJM would clarify this. So far they have been great at responding promptly to my mails. ( If you have any problmes let me know)
I also forgot to mention that if we are exporting this kit outside of the European union to a country where V.A.T is not applicable we lower the price by 17.5% so the combo price comes down to £1700.00

I ordered one yesterday and should be getting it in 5 weeks. I'll post pictures as soon as I get it. I ordered the scale one with every option possible, the leading edge slats are optional, mine will have everything on it. It's a white gelcoat so you can do whatever scheme you want.

Florent,

The leading edge slats are options and are not in the ARF out-of-the box. (i.e. they have to be customized). Here's what I'm getting:

WJM Rafale ARF Package: USD $2295
- Epos Fuel Tank
- 3 Light bulbs (red, green, white, and 2 for front wheels)
- Cockpit
- Rafale Jet (ARF)

Exhaust Pipes: USD $359
- Bifurcated Pipes

Landing Gear Package: USD $795
- Retract (with 90 degree rotation capability)
- Structs
- Front wheels + Read wheels
- Air Line Set (3mm diameter)
- 12 T-Fuel Fittings
- 1 Gas Tank
- 2 Brakes (Left / Right)
- 3 Valves
- 3 Gear Door Cylinders

I'll have my builder dive into this one after he's done with my new Scooter. I'll start a thread on it once I get it and document the build process.

hi woj,

a few days back another guy also posted this model up here.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_52...tm.htm#5283735

yes this looks better than bvm, but if you look carefully that guy customed his camoflaged rafale. I think you could modify the bvm rafale to have lights on wings like that. I think craig gottshang did this to his (sorry about spelling). I have fully functiona landing lights on my bvm rafale and wing tips. i will email you pics if you like. I havent obviously flown it yet and wont probably for a long time.

also this plane is a little longer than the BVM but has a smaller wing span, which totally doesnt make sense dude.
The bvm has a larger wingspan but shorter length! Whats up with all these rafales being mis proportioned in wingspan to fuse length? As I point out before,
i would think larger span better for stability.

bvm rafale specs
L 86"
S 64"

wjm
L 95.5"
S 62"

Full size dimensions from [link]http://www.globalaircraft.org/planes/dassault_rafale.pl[/link]

Dimensions
Length: 50 ft 3 in (15.3 m)
Wingspan: 35 ft 9 in (10.9 m)
Height: 17 ft 6 in (5.34 m)

That gives a Length/Span ratio of 1.4037 to 1.4056 (depends on whether you use metric or imperial measurememts above)

From the Dassault web site

Dimensions
Span 10,80 m (33.5ft)
Wing area 45,70 m2 (491 sq ft)
Length 15,27 m (50.1ft)
Height 5,34 m (17,5ft)

That gives a Length/Span ratio of 1.4139 to 1.4955 (depends on whether you use metric or imperial measurememts above)

From the above I would take 1.41 as a best guess

From what you quote

bvm rafale specs
L 86"
S 64"

L/S=1.34375

wjm
L 95.5"
S 62"

L/S=1.54032

So it looks like neither are exctly correct, with BVM being 3" over span, and the WJM being 5.7" under span based upon their quoted lengths.

Not sure if the tip missiles are included in any of the above , so even more uncertainty.

It looks a nice model either way.

Paul

also, depends on how each measures length ... from the cones on the back, or from the top/aft of the tail ? WS including missiles/rails ? or not ?

What i like most about the WJM version is the detail, especially the loubers and vents .. the BVM is not even close in any sort of detail .. i also like the ball bearing support for the canards .. the BVM one has bushing tubes. I understand the WJM version is also lighter, and based on the video clips posted, flies at least as good as the BVM / AD versions.

the loubers, vents, were not on the sport a and b versions and white versions, so whoever built that all camo version really decked it out.
I would be interested to know if one could get these vents from wjm, or if they even make them
