Why ? So it'll look more scale !

That's one of the coolest and most original turbine projects I've seen in a long time ! Any more info on kit and engine ?

How about a D/F cub. Joe brought this modified cub to the Madras, Oregon jet meet in 1996. Flew great.

I was stationed in Japan for almost 6 years and if Taiwan is the same as Japan when it comes to land use and flying fields, their field was probably built on a flood plain which accounts for all the silt debris on the flying site. It is easier to blow it off than to suck it up.

This GeeBee is modified from a 120 glow-power ARF kit and very cheap (approx $200). It is powered by Artes Bee.

Likai, you guys really come up with some good stuff, that geebee is too cool, but my question is how are you guys able to fly over the people in the park without complaints? or is there ever a concern for thier safety?.. not wanting to start a debate, just curious how that works.

Questionable...? Why?

It's their engine... they can use it as an apple plantation heater as far as I'm concerned...

You've got the hand it to these guys: they're original!

Turbines can be used for most anything... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyGDxglTVgA&eurl

It's cool, I don't get it, but it's cool :P
Seems like an odd progression though doesn't it? Propjets, the prop guys trying to fly something that looks like a jet, and now a turbine guy flying something that looks like a prop plane :P

Sure beats seeing the usual bunch of military and sport jets. Definitely thinking "outside the box"!

I think it's awesome...creative, impractical, weird, funny and apparently hard to land, but I like it! Kudos to whomever the builder/pilot is.

Ehab,

I have that giant scale P-51 that I have no idea what to do with....as long as the turbine survives our misfit adventures, I'm stoked to try what ever!

Proof positive that just because you CAN do something.. doesn't mean you should.

I can't believe that this thread was dug up from the grave.... LOL

All I can say is that it's stupid. Same thing with putting a turbine engine on a J 3 CUb... tarded if you ask me. But no one asked me so who cares about my opinion right? Right.
