Been to this show every year without fail since the early 90's, this year not bad, lots of new technology. Static display showed off a beautiful pair of jets, A-10 Warthog and an SU-34. There was also a breath taking Concorde on the main stage. Pics below. I'll be there again tomorrow at opening time. Anyone going? Please let me know, would love to meet ya. Regards,
Richie
PS...Pics were taken in Hi-Res and were too large to upload without scaling them down a bit. If interested in a hi-res, just drop me a note with your email adrs and I'll shoot it over.

Yes, you're right, he's from Bedford. I'm looking forward to seeing what else shows up tomorrow. I've always noticed that a few don't make it in on the first day, which is always Friday and a work day. There tends to be more static display models on Sat & Sun. Anyways, tomorrow is another day!! I'll be there tomorrow.
Was Nick Ziroli there this year? In the picture, I couldn't see his booth, he usually has his Staggerwing mounted on a pole and he's next to Robart.

Nick Ziroli was there, as for robart, they were not, they did have a stand up display, but i believe that it was also manned by the Ziroli group. i did notice alot of other vendors were not there this year. the basement was empty, yes there was vendors downstairs, but nowhere as many as last year. most of the basement vedors had the space to move up to the main floor. even Planes Plus was not there this year, and i always stopped at carlas booth to pick up a few things
if you are into electric flight, this is the place to be. even had an electric motor there to spin a 24 inch prop.

Plaster, that pic was taken as most of us were up in the balcony waiting for them to open the doors, the attendance was the normal. crowded/packed by 11 am.
Voy ,,, Ziroli has there new jet up for sale, powered by a Funsonic. other then the few on display, nothing really caught my eye.
road trip to Toledo next year.
Voy, got your e-mail, when we make the next trip up to the airport, i will let you know and you are more then welcome to join us.

Mark/Plaster...that's correct. That pic was taken while I waited for opening time from the balcony. By 11am, it was considerably crowded despite the fact that many vendors didn't come this year. Oh and YEA!! If you're into electrics, lots of new stuff to be seen here. Anyway, leaving home now to go back, hope I will have seen many of you there. Will report later...Regards,
Richie

Much better turn out today than yesterday. Just walking 30 feet within that crowd seemed to take an eternity with trying to squeeze by all these great folks trying to look at all the new stuff. Speaking of great folks, I bumped into Voy (Wojtek) and Alan (3Dhelinut). Great guys and either I'm growing shorter or these guys are really tall
!!! Woj brought his very impressive BVM jet and his equally impressive Rafaele. Love that pilot figure in the BVM jet, very sexy!! LOL Anyways, it was a lot of fun, looking forward to next year. Some more pics below...Regards,
Richie

Zirioli's new jet is called the TURBINATOR I picked up a set of plans at the show for $54.00 . It's about 72 in span and 80 in lenght. Looks like alot of 50's era jets rolled up into one. All wood ,4 sheets to the plans including the template sheet and Nick will have a laser cut short kit available soon . Robart retracts. 12-17 lbs turbine. I've known about it for several months since Nick works at my company from time to time and he is going to have a EDF version around 40" span soon as well for the electric guys. I started working out an enlarged one already for P-120 power since I need a plane fot my P-120 that I can just goof around with and don't like the looks of the Boomarang, and don't want a Kingcat even thouiht they fly great

The Wram show was the least crowded in terms of attendance on a Saturday as I've seen in many years. I met Wojtek and Alan also upstairs at the static displays. Tomcatman, I'm 6'1" and I was looking up to talk to Woj
. His Rafale is very nice. It was still a pretty good show as there are new vendors that come as some others don't show up.Marty

I am not entirely sure if the wood built up model I saw was the Turbinator, and unfortunately I didn't snap any shots of it. However, with a google search I found a couple of pics of Ziroli himself with an unfinished Turbinator in hand. Check it out.... Hope these help...Regards,
