My buddy Chuck was nice enough to snap a few shots from last Sunday's jet flying at Scobee field.

Looks good JR. I can still remember that first flight on the super reaper, my guess is this jet was less clenching of the buttocks!

I don't know about that....you should have seen how close he got to the fence after that one shot. A vicious crosswind to say the least - I rated it about an 8 on the clenchometer for the take off, the rest of the flight realy didn't make the meter....

You guys are having entirely too much fun, when I'm not around. Guess you're getting even.

Wish I had been able to make it. Next time for sure!

Barry,

Had fun and need to fly out there more.

Sean,

A little clenching for the first few flights as I was learning this new jet. Totally different situation then the Super Reaper. The Discovery is really a great all around jet.

Chuck,

And who commented they were still shaky?

Gary,

What can I say...you missed a out again on a great day of flying. I actually few around with a few prop guys too. Scobee is really a good field for jet flying in Houston.

All,

How about another round of fun on March 15th?

JR

march 15th? man jr, you plan in advance. that is almost a year away. kitchen passes that hard to get? maybe april 15th? i might instead go to cleveland to practice for top gun. i think the f84 needs to fly with those drop tanks on and cleveland is just the place to try. barry

Hey JR

Thanks for the Pics. I hope to soon get started on mine.
If anybody has any pics of their equipment intallation or
other pics to help with the build I would greatly apprciate it.

I was thinking about contacting Larry at Precision Cut Kits
to see if he would cut a few Discovery Jets.
Anyone else interested?

Thanks
Jeremy Smith

Jeremy, I am interested. I'm not new to R/C Planes but an absolute beginner when it comes to jets. I want to learn. My only concern is our flying field. It's a 400 foot grass strip and I want to be sure I can get a jet out of and back into that short strip. It looks like the Discovery can do it with all that wing. I figure a Jet Cat P60 should push the Discovery very nicely. Not a rocket, but I don't need that right now.

Hello all,

I've just received a set of plans and the lumber is on it's way, but I'm having trouble sourcing a set of wing cores. Does anyone know where I cen get a set of cores for this plane? I found a place that will sell me the foam blocks to make my own cores, but their minimum order is $250 plus shipping and that's a lot more foam than I ever whant to have sitting around the shop.

Thanks,
Jaime
