Default Y/A A4 building question

hi yall,
I'm building my second y/a a4 ( not gonna go into details into what happend to the first) but I would like to know if anyone has built this model with the refueling probe permantly affixed to the fuse, does this affect the flight envelope with it attached or it doesn't make a difference. I am only doing this just to see the authentic look when flying. I just want to know if it was done before and how was the flight also if I have to do anything extra in building and balancing to get characticts that I am looking for in an a4.

P.S. I know that the plans state to "remove before flight", but I am curious. love to experiment with things that are proclaimed "can't be done". A4s forever.

It will cause no problems flying. It's pretty easy to snag stuff on it, however. The real a/c is the same- no sweat!

Lee;
I think there is a AMA ruling that does not allow anything to stick out beyond the front of the aircraft, due to a spearing injury that could be cause by the probe. The probe is just for show and must be removed prior to flight.

Thanks guys for the input. Probably will go without it 'cause I wanted to see how it looks while in the air.

Hey vinny, Joe the Maddog will be coming back again meanier than last year, got it repaired and fixed new wings (and nose-heehehe). I found out what caused the flame out, it was the pressure nipple blew off during that flyby.
