Default Taking a kit on an overseas flight

Ok someone with the 411 help me here.

Im heading to the UK in a few days.
Tom wants me to bring a Cutlass kit over with me.

Is this possible and how much do you think the airline is gonna charge me?

It's a big box, like 42x42x10

You think I can get this onboard with just an oversize luggage fee?

Shok,
Why don't you call the airline ticket counter or cargo office and ask them? I would do that instead of posting the question on RCU. You will get accurate information that way, instead of a selection of different opinions.
Make sure to give the airline agent the contents, dimentions and weight of the container.
