RE: Dallas Jet fields
None in Dallas proper, but I fly at the North Dallas RC club field in Denton. 600' paved runway
http://www.ndrcc.com
And there are several guys that fly jets off of Benbrook's 400' runway.
I don't have a link for that club, but I'm sure one of them will chime in soon.
Once or twice a month the jet guys from all over Texas will meet at the HOTMAC field in Waco too.

RE: Dallas Jet fields
What Jet do you have ? Just to set the record straight the Benbrook runway is 450" long, smooth and a reasonable width. Depending upon your skill and comfort level with your jet and what Jet you have this runaway is adequate. On the down side the Waters edge ( Lake Benbrook) can easily be reached if you should lose radio contact or orienation at the wrong spot, ( I;m sure you can guess how I know this)

RE: Dallas Jet fields
Buck,
I was asking Heliboy what Jet he has so we could advise him if we think the runway is enough. A couple others that have flown out there that I know of are F 106, F 86, Maverick, Mavwerick Pro and Jet Mach. Im sure we are still forgetting some.

I'm not flying anything at the moment. I'm new to the area (Been based out of DFW for about a year now). I sold all my rc jets about 2 years ago & am seriously itching to get something back in the air !!! Maybe a yellow F-18 single. But until I do, guess I'll have to settle for watching you guys have all the fun[]... I remember Buck, I think he gave me some pointers on streghthening my BV Rafale landing gear a few years back.

Dude
give a shout when you get some free time or want to burn some Jet A locally. most of the local guys are headin' to Mt Pleasant this weekend if you want to take a drive. reference the other thread for info.
bummer you sold the Rafale but glad to hear you're itchin' to get back. this is a great place to get back into flying.
3 fields within an easy drive of DFW to get back into flying.
I can point you in the direction of a couple cheap and cheerful jets if you want to get back into it in a hurry.
cheers

Arlingtons right in the middle of all the jet fields. go west to Benbrook, go south to Waco, go north to NDRC. perfect.
I'll pm ya in a few with my digits.
good folks, flying and food. all we need is SoCal weather and I'd be happier than a puppy with 2 pekers.

Welcome to Fort Worth Jay. You'll have a really nice time I can tell.
Dude, were else are you going to have 4 jet fields within one hour or less. Waco to the South is by far the best, but it is about 1-1.25 hrs from South Arlington.
I guess I'll meet you later, I'm a local at FW Thunderbirds, come on by whenever.
Later,
David
