This might be a scam

This jet was posted on Ebay about 6-7 months ago. One of those deals "To good to be true" Look at the sellers rating. ZERO...... I replyed to this jet last time it was on ebay and the seller, A person named Mario wanted me to send the money first to a holding company. I would be able to inspect the jet first before the money was sent to the seller. Found out that the holding company was a bank in Spain. I'm NOT sure if this is a scam, But I'm willing to bet that this jet will sell with a P120 for less than $2000. In fact, this is the third time it's on Ebay. One just like it sold with a P120, 10X, RTF for around $2100. "To good to be true" I could be wrong and someone could be missing out on a GREAT deal. Careful

This guy (the seller) has been a member since May 4 '07? The same day the plane went on auction... stinks to high heaven. I'd be very, very carefull if I was bidding on this item.... like spending the money for a plane ticket to go hand the guy cash...
Just my two cents

I emailed and asked for a phone number. We'll see. I asked last time for him to send a picture with himself standing by the jet. He replied that his camera was broke. Bob

On December 22nd of 2006 I posted this same Scam on RCU. The pictures of the jet are the same. Just under another name and the last time this jet was posted the seller had a zero rating and joined Ebay that day. You would almost think that he would have sold it by now...........

Hi,
Total scam. If you read the listing of items/details, it just sounds like the author isn't a jet guy. Some of the features he lists are superfluous like "Aileron." Someone should ask for engine serial numbers or other details that can only be seen on the physical plane.

This is the 3rd time that I seen this jet for sale on Ebay. Not once did I see it sell for more than $2000. Everytime it is for sale the seller has a zero rating and joined that day. This must be a popular jet
. You would think the scammer would use different pictures but they are the same ones over and over. The seller can never provide a # on the turbine or have someone in the area come inspect the jet. Isn't there anything that can be done to protect a buyer on a scam like this?? Hope this is the last time we see this jet for sale on Ebay. Besides, I have always been high bidder. (Just kiddin)

Total scam, I had contact with the guy about a year ago. Same plane on ebay only it appears he has moved from Ohio to NV. He wanted me to send money through some BS escrow company in Brazil or somewhere. Wonder what his front teeth knocked out with my billy-club would fetch on auction.

I emailed him:
Hi,
I am very interested in this model. Can you please tell me what serial number is on the turbine and what version ECU? Also, what servos are being used on each control surface? And what do you mean by ABS brakes?
Thanks,
*later I noticed in his listing that he called out JR servos*
and this was his response:

Hi
My MB339 Turbine Jet P120 RTF is not on ebay anymore but is still available for sale. My usual schedule was modified because I have to take care of some business, so I had to go to Spain and that's why I have closed the auction.
My final price for the jet is $2,000.00 including all the shipping costs and insurance.
I must add that you'll have the opportunity to inspect the item before you actually pay for it.
I will wait for your email to let me know if you are interested in knowing more details about the purchase.
Thanks and sorry for delay
Daniel

AMA234,
I wrote the guy yesterday and asked for some pictures of the struts. I already have a MB339 with just the wire gear and would like to put struts on it. I recieved the exact reply as you word-for-word. ummmmmmmmm go figure. I guess he is looking for anybody that will bite. Right now I aint that hungry.
BTW: does anyone happen to know what struts are on this airplane? Are they direct replacements, or will I have to cut up the wing? Any info appreciated.
Thanks

1. Your doing it now by making sure people are aware of the scams once identified.
2. Notify eBay when you spot a scam so that they can delete it.
3. Pray that the scamer runs his car off of a cliff somewhere.
Getting eBay to delete the auction is the only way to help some noob that does not frequent the forums.

Hi Chris
The plane is in Henderson, NV.
If you are interested I want to make the transaction thru Moneybookers. This way you will have the opportunity to inspect the plane before you actually pay for it. I'm saying this because you will have a maximum 14 days inspection period. You will send the money to Moneybookers and they will keep the money for us. As soon as Moneybookers has the money I'll ship the plane to you.
Moneybookers releases funds to the Seller once the inspection period has passed without the Buyer requesting cancellation of the transaction and upon Moneybookers verification of the transaction information. The inspection period is agreed to by both the Buyer and the Seller and commences once the Buyer has received the items. Funds are released to the Seller the same or next business day after completion of the transaction and upon verification by Internet Moneybookers Services.
As soon as I have your full name and also your full shipping address I will open a case at Moneybookers and they will give you step by step details on how to proceed with the deal and to make the payment.
Thanks
Daniel
I don't think so. has anyone heard of or used Moneybookers? I checked and it sounds just like Paypal....no holding period mentioned???
See ya....

Guys,
This is the same exact story as I got back in December of 06. As I posted earlier, The guy I dealt with had a name of Mario. SAME Story, Moneybookers out of London. This is crazy that this person can keep doing this. This is the 3rd time that this scam has been posted. It seems that Ebay don't care
