Default paint stripping?

hey guys i got my yellow f16. it has many coats of paint, very thick. i dont particularly want to sand, sand, sand. i would like to know if i can strip the paint somehow without damaging the fibreglass. i want to refinish in a thunderbirds scheme, using automotive paint. does anybody have a solution to my problem? i want this bird to look good. right now it doesnt. is there any kind of paint stripper that wont eat the fibreglass? thanks, doug

Default paint stripping?

you might do a search, this topic comes up pretty often. my personal favorite way to go is to use klean strip fiberglass stripper. just like regular paint stripper, just for use on fiberglass. sold at home depot and the like.

Ditto what Pat said. You can also get the stripper at an auto paint/supply store----Just MAKE SURE it is for fiberglass!!!
