Skymaster L-39 Maiden

Hi guys, I did the maiden on the Skymaster L-39 for a customer. This one was powered by a Jet Central Falcon, producing 23lbs of thrust. All I can say is WOW... The L-39 fly's awesome, very stable and the Falcon gave it more than enough power. Only half throttle was used for regular flight.
Takeoff was very easy and smooth.
Flight was very predictable and the jet was very easy to fly. I was impressed on how slow this jet can fly...
Landing was as easy as all the rest of the flight, it does float a lot so you need to loose speed before getting to final. When on the floor be nice on the brakes to keep it stable.
Well no more words and some action... Check the video...

Standing behind an AV-8 is better than behind a Su-27, cause you will not be hit by hot gas!

Ehab, only one size L-39 in Skymaster 1:5 1/2 scale.

I was very impressed on the performance of the jet with the Falcon since this is a big jet. Verticals where very good, not unlimiyed of course but more than enough.
Likai, I am there, just a bit to the side...
I am starting to make takeoffs from the side know though...
Anton, you are killing me... The AV-8 and SU-27...[X(] You know I want the first one...
If you make the mod to SU-30 even better...
Trundle, the L-39 is available know, let me know if you are interested in one.

Hey Michel; How much fuel does it have and do the wheels fit in wheel well properly? I am very interested in the blue one, but awaiting funds from selling one of my motorcycles[&:]

The wheels fit is very tight and you must not overinflate the tires. Our builder made some moldifications to the gear mounts in order to get the wheels and doors fit. This modification will be included in the future by the factory.

I will get back to you oin the tanks... Don't remember how much fuel they can take...[X(]
By the way all was set as factory specs...CG and throws...

Hi everyone!!! I'm the lucky owner of this L-39. It's really an awsome jet it flys very stable and scale alike. The Falcon is perfect because you use just half of the power to fly it scale.
I really recomend you this model specialy for pilots who enjoy the precision of real flight and Michel is an excellent and responsable trader.
Thankyou very much Michel for this jet you sold me.

My question was directed at Anton though and when the Su-27 will be available and what specs it will have.

Just wanted to let you all know. That if you want to add a scale pylon and under wing dummy fuel tanks to your Skymaster L-39 I had them built for me for Top Gun 2008 from www.details4scale.com. They are great looking addition to the jet.
Also, if you need wing tip light lense covers, I had them made by them as well. They turned out great. If you have any questions let me know. Otherwise look for my L-39 at Top Gun, if I get it done in time...

JetsRC,
I have received my first RC jet. It is a Skymaster L-39 in camo. I have a lot of build questions. 1) What servos did you run?, I am going to use Futaba but am unsure what will fit. 2) Fitting and mounting servos is another question, do you have any advise about mounting the servos? 3) I hope this ship flies as good as yours did. Any new updates on your L-39? I am running a JetCat P-120 for my powerplant and controling with a 14MZ Futaba, any input will be great.
